Telford Town Park is a 170 hectare green space combining both urban and rural features and is a much loved asset by the people of Telford & Wrekin and beyond. CFP have worked with Telford and Wrekin Council to finalise the Management and Maintenance Plan for Telford Town Park following the successful delivery of the Parks for People project. The Management and Maintenance Plan sets out the future direction of the site for the next 10 years, maintaining the Council’s recent investment and allowing the authority to achieve the Green Flag Award.
Through this project, CFP reviewed all existing documentation, including the previous Management Plan and prepared an updated policy review. We delivered a mock Green Flag assessment to inform the development of recommendations for inclusion in the Management Plan as well as engaging with local stakeholders to shape the future strategy. Using financial data and our experience of parks management, we were able to re-forecast financial projections across the 10 year period, clearly differentiating between HLF and non-HLF funded elements.
CFP were also able to assist Telford & Wrekin Council on monitoring and evaluation and continue to advise the Council on their overall evaluation framework for the project, as well as baseline and target figures against key outcomes.
