The Mere, Ellesmere
The Client
Shropshire Council
The Background
The council had almost completed the restoration of this landscape and its buildings and wanted to produce a management and maintenance plan to help it to better understand how it needed to look after the site once the capital works were finished.
During the restoration project local government re-organisation had also taken place along with key staff changes meaning that a clear plan was required so that the authority fully understood what it needed to do in order to fulfil its obligations to HLF as well as actions to complete the various plans for revenue activities.
The Objective
CFP were asked to produce a comprehensive management plan that would give the authority a clear action plan with links to other plans that formed part of the various stages of the HLF restoration project.
We undertook a thorough review of the project and all relevant documents in order to ensure that the plan referenced all supporting reports and plans.
Just add CFP
CFP brought their detailed knowledge of green space management and a thorough understanding of HLF’s requirements to the process.
The Result
The authority had a clear plan of action of works required initially satisfy HLF and in the longer term ensure that the investment in the restoration project was well looked after.
