The Background
CFP were commissioned by Vale Royal Borough Council to undertake consultation with a range of stakeholders to gain feedback on proposals to develop Winsford Town Park and the Weaver Valley Waterfront as part of the wider “Winning Winsford” regeneration programme.
The Objective
To consult and engage with key stakeholders and targeted hard to reach groups about proposals to radically change Winsford Town Park and transform the Weaver Valley Waterfront into an attractive mixed use area with better links to the town centre.

CFP develop a planned approach to consulting with key stakeholders and hard to reach groups including the business community, community based organisations local residents, site users and young people.
Our approach was designed to maximise contact with local groups and stakeholders and we sought to develop processes of dialogue between participants and the client team and other consultants.
The Result
The consultation processes demonstrated that there were high levels of support for the proposals to improve and develop both Winsford Town Park and the Waterfront. Our approach to ensuring ongoing participation has allowed the client team to continue to inform and consult those participants initially contacted by CFP.
