Research & Guidance

Research & Guidance

A field of work where where our track record speaks for itself as we are the only consultancy who has written national guidance for HLF, Keep Britain Tidy, CABE Space. Our research skills can be applied to a local project or a national study.

Our latest work includes the State of UK Public Parks, a ground-breaking study into one of the nation’s most valued assets.

Visitor Profiling

Understanding your current and potential audience is vital information for activity planning and business planning. Using demographic data and consultation evidence we can apply our spatial mapping and analysis skills to help you build up a picture of who currently uses your facility and who doesn’t. We can also design and deliver visitor observation studies to look at who goes where and when adding depth and colour to simple visitor numbers.

Monitoring & Evaluation

We have worked with HLF at a national level for over 6 years, designing the national evaluation system, writing guidance, training project staff and undertaking the interim impact evaluation. At a project level we have written monitoring and evaluation plans, designed and delivered research to develop base lines and targets, trained staff and volunteers and carried out interim and final evaluation research. We have carried out programme level evaluation for lottery distributors and social housing providers.

Research

This is a key service that we really enjoy as we know how valuable good research can be not only at a project level but also nationally to our sector. We have been involved in national research such as the Urban Green Spaces Task Force and the State of UK Public Parks. At project level we have carried out research for organisational reviews and business plans as well as market research, focus groups and participatory workshops for a range of projects

Grant Programme & Award Guidance

Having helped to write national guidance for HLF, CABE Space and the Green Flag Award as well as designing new grant programmes and award schemes, who better to help at a project level to guide you through?
