Working with people

Working with people

This is where we started all those years ago; helping to connect people, places and spaces has always been a key part of our approach. We enjoy working with people whether that is running a consultation workshop or helping a team through a complex project, running a national training programme or speaking to park users. We never loose sight of the fact that at the end of the day, it’s all about improving people’s lives.

Mentoring & technical advice

A role we regularly perform for HLF across the UK as well as for wide range of local authorities. We can help clients think through complex projects, saving money and adding value.

Community consultation & engagement

From on line surveys to large scale workshops, we can handle quantitative and qualitative techniques. We have linked consultation with mapping techniques to develop visitor profiles for activity plans and business plans, designed and delivered stakeholder workshops to explore strategic approaches to green space, household surveys to elicit views about a particular facility and far more. Our commitment to ensuring that we follow best practice in this key area is evidenced by our Director becoming an Associate of the Market Research Society and Adrian holds an RSA Advanced Diploma in the Organisation of Community Groups

Activity Planning

An opportunity to combine our skills and experience of audience development, interpretation, marketing, training and volunteering. We’ve worked on plans for historic landscapes, urban parks, museums and historic buildings and every plan is as unique as the space or place.

Training & facilitation

We designed the original Green Flag Award judges training programme, co-ran the CABE Space / GreenSpace management planning national training programme and helped Groundwork UK design and facilitate their national induction workshops for the Community Spaces Programme. We have also co-run the HLF measuring success workshops for the past 6 years. At a project level we have trained staff and volunteers in a wide range of skills from visitor observation to management planning.

Communication & awareness raising

Raising awareness of projects, giving people the opportunity to make informed choices, prompting people to get involved in consultation, volunteering or activities all relies on good communication. From developing communication and consultation plans to designing and delivering e zine campaigns, web sites and blogs we can help those involved in projects get their message across.
