Ian set up CFP in 2001 with the idea of creating a team of skilled specialists who could deliver lasting and meaningful change in the landscape and heritage sector. Over 20 years later that idea is a reality and CFP are one of the market leaders in the UK.
Ian’s expertise have been nationally recognised. He has authored guidance and publications, led on national research, been part of national steering groups and government task forces, and presented to All Party Parliamentary Groups and inquiries.
He holds Fellowships with the RSA and the Royal Geographical Society and is a former fellow of the Landscape Institute. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute for the Study of Welsh Estates in recognition for his work on some key historic landscapes.
He has been on the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Register of Specialist Services for many years and has worked on over 100 restoration projects including landscape and biodiversity projects, urban parks, industrial and built heritage.
Outside of work, Ian is a climber and mountaineer, father of two and proud camper van owner!
